How can I start eating a healthier diet

For a healthy diet,a variety of foods should be included. These should be taken from the basic food groups- protein ( such as meat, fish, poultry and eggs); dairy, (such as milk, butter or cheese); grains, (such as breads, cereals and pasta); and fats and sweets. This may appear to be simple, but it is not quite so easily done. We often tend to eat more of our favorite foods, rather than what is best for us. Also, with the busy pace that most of us have, we lean more toward what i convenient rather than what is healthy.

A healthy diet requires both planning and purpose,plus a real effort to include a variety of foods in your meals. We need to closely observe our eating habits. In doing this, we may find that we are not getting the proper nutrients that we need.It is also important to pay attention to what we drink.We should keep a food diary for one week. Write down everything you eat and drink. Pay attention to portions,and check to see if you are eating a variety of foods from each of the food groups.You need not meet the minimum number each day; however,try to get the recommended intake on average over a week. You may find that making a just a few small changes will ensure your eating a healthy, balanced diet. Or,you may find that you are missing many important nutrients.

Good nutrition and a balanced diet helps children grow up well and healthy. regardless of whether your kid is a toddler or a teen, you can take steps to improve nutrition and encourage smart eating habits.

Diabetes is one of the leading problems facing us today. Much of it Obesity related.
